The area and how to get there

The Hofvijver is located in the centre of The Hague, on the Binnenhof. The museums where you can use the Passe-Partout and participating hospitality and catering outlets are all situated around the Hofvijver.

There are excellent public transport links to the centre of The Hague. From The Hague Central Station, it is approximately ten minutes' walk to the Hofvijver. Trams 1 (Kneuterdijk stop), 15, 16, 17 (Buitenhof stop) and buses 22 and 24 all stop at the Hofvijver. You can plan your journey using

Price and sales outlets

The Hofvijver Passe-Partout costs € 16 (as of 1 January 2017). You can use it to visit four museums: the Historical Museum of The Hague (Haags Historisch Museum), the Prison Gate Museum (Museum de Gevangenpoort), Museum Bredius and the Prince Willem V Gallery (Galerij Prins Willem V) and to access the visitor centre under the Ridderzaal (Knights' Hall). The pass also comes complete with four discount coupons for hospitality and catering establishments in the area and a great guided walk with background information about sights around the Hofvijver.

The Passe-Partout can be purchased from participating museums, ProDemos and VVV Den Haag (The Hague tourist information centre).

The Passe-Partout is valid for two days, starting from the first day that you use it. This means that you can buy an open pass for use at a later date, making it an excellent gift!
